These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you access or use our website, courses, guided recordings, live workshops, or other services provided by Serene India (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. These terms describe rights and responsibilities, how payments and cancellations are handled, what you may expect from our content, and the legal framework that applies in India. Our aim is to keep guidance simple and supportive while ensuring clear expectations for participants and organisations who engage with us. Use of Services
Serene India provides guided meditations, short courses, workplace workshops, and supportive resources that are educational and wellness-focused. Content is designed for adults and for general wellbeing, not as a substitute for medical or mental health care. Use the Services at your own pace and comfort. Teachers and instructors provide options and encourage participants to rest or stop practice when needed. You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You must not record, redistribute, or commercially reuse our guided sessions, video, or course materials without prior written permission. For organisational programs we may provide licensed materials for internal use under specified terms and durations. Serene India reserves the right to restrict access or terminate accounts for harmful, abusive, or illegal activity or for repeated violation of these terms. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for activity that occurs under their accounts.
Payments, refunds, and cancellations
Paid courses, workshops, and coaching packages are subject to the pricing and refund policies set at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by trusted third-party providers and we do not store full payment card details on our servers. For most individual courses, if you cancel within a specified trial period we will issue a full refund; details are provided on the relevant course page or at purchase. For live workplace engagements and bespoke organisational programs, cancellation terms are governed by the signed agreement and may include deposit forfeiture for late cancellations. Requests for refunds or changes should be sent to [email protected] with your booking reference. We aim to respond promptly and to resolve issues fairly. In case of technical problems preventing access to paid content, we will provide reasonable assistance or alternative access. All financial transactions are final once processed, subject to the specific refund terms communicated during purchase.
Content, intellectual property, and permitted use
All content provided by Serene India, including audio, text, images, video, course materials, branding, and software, is owned or licensed by Serene India and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes, unless a different licence is provided in writing. You must not copy, distribute, adapt, translate, publicly perform, or create derivative works from our materials except as expressly permitted. If you would like to licence content for an organisation or to adapt material for local language use, contact us to discuss written licensing terms. Disclaimer, limitation of liability, and safety
Our guided meditations and courses are intended to support wellbeing and are not medical or psychiatric treatment. If you have serious physical or mental health concerns, consult a qualified professional before engaging in practices that may affect your mental state. While our teachers provide alternatives and invite safety options, Serene India is not responsible for adverse effects arising from participation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serene India and its officers, employees, and partners disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, and limit aggregate liability to the amount paid by the user for the specific Service in the prior 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Participants agree to hold Serene India harmless from claims arising from misuse of materials or failure to follow safety guidance. For organisations, additional indemnities may be set out in the engagement agreement.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will first be addressed by good faith discussions between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved through discussions, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Where permitted by law, each party agrees to seek a prompt and equitable resolution and to follow informal resolution steps before initiating formal legal proceedings. Nothing in this section prevents Serene India from seeking injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Changes, notices, and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes that affect existing paid services, we will make reasonable efforts to inform affected users by email.
